From Charleston. Charleston, Sept. 8. --During last the firing was mostly from our batteries against the Cumming's Point battery. Battery Wagner is now garrisoned by the 54th Massachusetts (negro) regiment, and the Massachusetts State flag floats over it this morning. The monitors and Ironsides have opened a severe fire on Fort Moultrie. [Second Dispatch.] Moultrie, and occasionally day long. The casualties at Moultrie were 17 killed and 19 wounded. Our works on Sullivan's Island are uninjured. About noon, the enemy fired the village of Moultrieville, on Sullivan's Island, in several places, with incendiary shells. The light of the burning houses is still visible down the harbor. Our batteries on Sullivan's Island and Fort Moultrie have been replying briskly to the enemy's fleet. Two of the monitors, which were struck very frequently, were towed off by a wooden steamer. All quiet to-night.
