Taÿgĕté

Ταϋγέτη). The daughter of Atlas and Pleioné, one of the Pleiades, from whom Mount Taÿgetus in Laconia is said to have derived its name. By Zeus she became the mother of Lacedaemon and of Eurotas (Pausan. iii. 1, 2).
