Anti'sthenes

Ἀντισθένης), an AGRIGENTINE, is mentioned by Diodorus (13.84) as an instance of the immense wealth which private citizens possessed at Agrigentum. When his daughter was married, more than 800 carriages went in the nuptial procession.
