Aristode'mus
4. Of Thebes (Schol.
ad Theocrit. 7.103).
Works
Aristodemus wrote a work on his native city (
Θηβαϊκά), which is often referred to by ancient authors, and appears to have treated principally of the antiquities of Thebes. Suidas (
s. v. ὁμολάϊος Ζεύς, where the name
Ἀριστοφάνης has been justly corrected into
Ἀριστόδημος) quotes the second book of this work.
