Tima'goras

*Timago/ras), of Chalcis, a painter, contemporary with Panaenus, whom he defeated in a contest for the prize of painting, at the Pythian games. Timagoras afterwards celebrated his victory in a poem. (Plin. Nat. 35.9. s. 35.)
