--Major George Middleton died at Syracuse, N. Y., January 19, at the age of 91.--He was claimed to be the senior member of the Masonic fraternity in the United States.--It is said that the Major was present at the Fort Griswold massacre in Connecticut when Col. Ledyard and most of his garrison were massacred in cold blood after their surrender to the British under the command of the traitor Arnold.
