Attempted robbers.

--Messrs. F. P. Radford and Thomas Lyon were knocked down by thieves, on Franklin street, near Johnson's Livery stable, about 9 o'clock on Tuesday, night and a vigorous attempt made to rob them, which proved unsuccessful by reason of the speedy alarm which the attacked party made. Some four or five determined desperados made the attack alluded to on the above parties. The region in which this attempt was made is much infected or suspicious looking men.
