From Charleston.

Charleston, Sept. 30th.
--The enemy fired slowly on Sumter yesterday; and also upon our James Island batteries, which kept up a constant shelling of their working parties with evident effect, Fort Moultrie also firing upon battery Grogg. The fleet was quiet. The enemy have completed their covered way between Gregg and Wagner, along which they drive their teams safely. The Yankees are case mating their guns at Gregg and Wagner to protect their gunners from our shells. Some of the embrasures point directly towards the city.
