Eury'crates I.

（Εὐρυκράτης), was the 11th king of Sparta in the Agid house: his reign was coincident with the conclusion of the first Messenian war. (Paus. 3.3.3.)

II. Grandson of the above, called also (Hdt. 7.204) Eurycratides, was 13th of the same line, and reigned during the earlier and disastrous part of the war with Tegea (Hdt. 1.65), which his grandson Anaxandrides brought to a happy issue. (Paus. 3.3.5.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
