προσφέρειν δὲ πάλιν τὸν αὐτὸν τρόπον καὶ προτεῖναι ἐντὸς τῆς ὠμοπλάτης ᾗ ἡ σφαγή, καὶ ἀντερείσαντα ἔχειν ἐρρωμένως: ὁ δ᾽ ὑπὸ τοῦ μένους πρόσεισι, καὶ εἰ μὴ κωλύοιεν οἱ κνώδοντες τῆς λόγχης, ἀφίκοιτ᾽ ἂν διὰ τῆς ῥάβδου προωθῶν αὑτὸν πρὸς τὸν τὸ προβόλιον ἔχοντα.
