Refinements

Refers to the series of adjustments in building design made by Classical Greek architects to overcome visual peculiarities.

Description: The Parthenon is often put forth as the culmination or epitome of refinements. The adjustments were made to compensate for what the architects thought a viewer would perceive when looking at a building of such monumental size.
