ὀρθρ-ινός , ή, όν, （ὄρθρος） later form (Phryn.PSp.93 B.) for ὄρθριος, LXXWi.11.22, al. ;
A.“ὀρθρινὸς οἴχεσθαι” AP5.176 (Mel.); ὀ. δῶρα ib.7.195 (Id.) : neut. pl. as Adv., ὀρθρινὰ παίζειν ib.12.47 (Id.). [ι^ AP5.176, 12.47, as in ἠρινός, θερινός, χειμερινός: Arat.948, AP6.160 (Antip. Sid.), etc. make ι long, prob. in imitation of ὀπωρι_νῷ which is a metr. necessity in Hom., v. sub voc.]
