A.solitary, of male beasts which have been driven from the herd: hence, savage, ferocious, “μ. δάκοςCall.Dian.84; “μούνιος ἐκ θάμνοιο λύκοςAP7.289 (Antip. Thess.), cf. Luc.Ep.Sat.34.
2. Subst., solitary wild boar (“ὗς ἄγριος μὴ τοῖς ἄλλοις συναγελαζόμενοςHsch.), v.l. for ὗς ἄγριος in Aesop.407; “μ. ἄγριοςLXX Ps.79(80).13 (v.l.).
