II. c. acc., θεοὺς π. sing to the gods, sing in their praise or honour, Pl.Epin.980b: c. dupl. acc., ὕμνον προσεπαίσαμεν . . τὸν . . Ἔρωτα sang a hymn in praise of Eros, Id.Phdr.265c.
