II. to be fain that . . , c. acc. et inf., Il.3.98: c. inf., to be minded to do, 9.608, 17.286; without inf., οἱ δ᾽ ἰθὺς φρόνεον [ἰέναι] were minded to go right on ward, 13.135, cf. 12.124; ᾗπερ δὴ φρονέω [τελέσαι] 9.310; “φρονῶν ἔπρασσον” of set purpose, S.OC271: in Prose, mean, intend, τοῦτο φρονεῖ ἡμῶν ἡ . . ἀγωγή this is what your bringing us here means, Th.5.85.
