I.to turn around (rare; “not in Cic.): citius quam rotula circumvortitur,Plaut. Pers. 3, 3, 39; cf.: rota circumvertitur axem, turns or is turned around on its axis, Ov. M. 15, 522 (Merkel, circumvolvitur): “ubi circumvortor, cado,turn myself around, Plaut. Ps. 5, 1, 32; cf.: circumvertens se, turning one's self to the right side, * Suet. Vit. 2; “v. the commentt. in h. l.: mancipium,to declare free, Quint. Decl. 342; v. circumago, I. B. (in Plaut. Ps. 1, 5, 127, perh. a false reading for intervortant, which Fleck. adopts; cf. Lorenz ad loc.).
