Brisēis

Βρισηΐς). The daughter of Briseus of Lyrnessus, who fell into the hands of Achilles, but was seized by Agamemnon. Hence arose the dire feud between the two heroes. (See Achilles; Agamemnon; Trojan War.) Her proper name was Hippodamia.
