Anthes

（Ἄνθης), probably only another form of Anthas. It occurs in Stephanus Byzantius, who calls him the founder of Anthane in Laconia ; anti in Plutarch (Quaest. Gr. 19) who says, that the island of Calauria was originally called, after him, Anthedonia.

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
