Macris

（*Ma/kris), a daughter of Aristaeus, who fed the infant Dionysus with honey, after he was brought to her in Euboea by Hermes; but being expelled by Hera, she took refuge in the island of the Phaeacians. (Apollon. 4.540, 990, 1131; comp. ARISTAEUS.)

In the article on Soranus, we find: "at this present time (1848)" and this date seems to reflect the dates of works cited. 1873 - probably the printing date.
