Priscus, No'vius
was banished by Nero, in A. D. 66, in consequence of his being a friend of Seneca.
He was accompanied in his exile by his wife Artoria Flacilla. (
Tac. Ann. 15.71.) We learn from the Fasti that D. Novius Priscus was consul A. n. 78, in the reign of Vespasian.
He was probably the same person as the one banished by Nero.
