Priscus, No'vius

was banished by Nero, in A. D. 66, in consequence of his being a friend of Seneca. He was accompanied in his exile by his wife Artoria Flacilla. (Tac. Ann. 15.71.) We learn from the Fasti that D. Novius Priscus was consul A. n. 78, in the reign of Vespasian. He was probably the same person as the one banished by Nero.
