Two Federal and three Rebel Providential Springs.

If my recollection serves me right, there was yet another of these same “providential springs” inside the stockade, and that Providence who sends the rain alike upon the just and the unjust gave [164] unto the wicked and ungodly Rebels three of these “providential springs;” and I am sure he did not plant ours in answer to prayer, for we had just as soon drunk the branch water.
