Niboyer, Baudoin Simon 1779-

Author; born in Bruges, Belgium, in 1779; accompanied the British forces to the United States in 1812; and witnessed the burning of the White House in Washington, D. C. When peace was concluded he travelled through the Eastern and Northern States. His publications include History of the War between England and the United States; A picturesque journey through the United States of North America; Considerations on the Republican system of the United States compared with the Representative governments of Europe; The aristocracy of Europe and America, etc. He died near Brussels in 1834.
