ذمل

1 ذَمَلَ ذ , (S, M, K,) or ذَمَلَتْ, (T,) aor. ذَمُلَ (T, S, M, K) and ذَمِلَ , (S, M, K,) inf. n. ذَمِيلٌ (T, S, M, K) and ذَمْلٌ and ذُمُولٌ and ذَمَلَانٌ, (M, K,) said of a camel, (T, S,) He, or she, went a gentle pace: (T, M, K:) or went a pace above that which is termed العَنَقُ, (S, M, K,) and above that which is termed التَّزَيُّدُ: [for] A'Obeyd says, when the pace rises a little above that which is termed العَنَقُ, it is termed التَّزَيُّدُ; and when it rises above this, it is termed الذَّمِيلُ; and then, الرَّسِيمُ: As says that no camel goes the pace termed الذَّمِيل for a day and a night except the مَهْرِى. (S.) 2 ذَمَّلْتُهُ ذ , inf. n. تَذْمِيلٌ, I urged him, or made him, (namely, a camel, TA,) to go the pace above mentioned. (K.) نَاقَةٌ ذَمُولٌ ذ [A she-camel that is accustomed to go the pace above mentioned]: (M, K:) pl. ذُمُلٌ, (M, and so in my MS. copy of the K,) or ذُمْلٌ. (TA: in the CK ذُمَّل.) ذَمِيلَةٌ ذ Fatigued, or jaded; (IAar, T, K;) applied to a she-camel. (IAar, TA.) نَاقَةٌ ذَامِلَةٌ ذ [A she-camel going the pace above mentioned]: pl. ذَوَامِلُ. (T.)
