protected, from the ground; (K;) syn.
حِذَآءٌ: and also applied to

تَاسُومَة [or
shoe]. (Msb.)
What is now called
تَاسُومَة. (IAth, TA.) It often signifies only
a sole: so in the S, K, Msb, &c., in art.
