The resources of Government — the U. S. Funds in State Hands.

Washington, Jan. 22.
--The Secretary of the Treasury, in a special communication to the House to-day, estimates the amount necessary to conduct the Government prior to July next, in addition to the accruing revenue, at $21,000,000. He suggests measures for raising It and among others, refers to the surplus revenue deposited with the States in 1836 as a specific fund, which might be pledged or recalled.
