After the Rain.

--The storm of Wednesday night was succeeded by a day of surpassing loveliness. Everybody who could do so went out to enjoy the fresh air, and the city presented a scene of gaiety no less pleasing than that we witnessed daily in the piping times of peace, when ladies thronged the side walks and crowded the dry-goods stores to inspect the autumn fashions.
