Elizabeth City.

--We learned from a gentleman who left the outskirts of Elizabeth City on Thureday, and arrived in this city yesterday afternoon, that there were thirty buildings burned, including the two hotels. He was in the town a the time of its a tack, and asserts that to his own knowledge it was fired by the citizens.--Norfolk Day Book.
