Newbern, Washington, and other North Carolina Banks.

--Newbern, Washington, and other towns in the eastern part of this State, having been occupied by the enemy, some doubt, we are informed, exists in portions of the country as to the currency of the notes of the Banks formerly located there. We can assure our readers that such doubts are without foundation. The assets of the Banks were all removed before the coming of the enemy, and their notes, if good before, are still freely received and paid out by the Banks here.--Wilmington Journal.
