Found drowned

--The body of a frousound men appeared on the surface of the basin yesterday, in the neighborhood of Warwick's Mill. From papers found on his person his name was as certained to be J. C. Todd, company B. 20d regiment N. C. State Troops. The sum of $39.45 cents in Confederate and corporation notes was also found in his pocket and $2.75 in specie, beside two New York Mustang notes, marked ‘"50."’ Acting Corner Richard D. Sunday was summoned to hold an inquest over the remains, but after viewing the body and learning all the intelligence he could respecting the manner of the man's death, he came to the conclusion that an inquest was not necessary. He his direction the body was decently interred.-- Persons living the basin report that a man jumped into on Tuesday, and it is supposed that Todd was the party who did no.
