A report from North Mississippi.

--The Mississippian, extra, published at Columbus, Miss., says it has private intelligence of a fight in North Mississippi between Gen. S. D. Lee's forces and those under the Yankee Gen. Sherman. The fight was stubborn, but finally resulted in the defeat of the Yankees, with considerable loss. At last accounts Sherman was retreating. The fight took place somewhere near the line of the Memphis and Charleston railroad. Gen. Chalmers's command took part in the fight.
