--Two negroes were hunting, when they came across a den. The one entered, while the other remained outside to watch. A wolf, whose home it was coming up, likewise entered, when the outside negro caught hold of her tall and stopped her. The darkey in the cave, alarmed at the sudden darkening, cried out, "What do debit make do hole so dark?" Sambo cried out, "If do tall holt come loose, I spec you know den."
