A.supplies for travelling, money and provisions, esp. of an army, ἐπόδια δοῦναι, λαβεῖν, Hdt.4.203, 6.70; “δι᾽ ἀπορίαν ἐφοδίων τοῖς στρατευομένοιςD.3.20; of an ambassador's travelling-allowance, “ἐφόδι᾽ οὐκ ἔχωAr.Ach.53, cf. Men.Pk.160; “ἐφόδι᾽ ἀναλίσκεινD.19.311, cf. BCH6.25 (Delos, ii B. C.): sg. in PSI 4.363.17 (iii B. C.): generally, ways and means, maintenance, “ἐφόδια τῷ γήρᾳ ἱκανάD.49.67, cf.
