A.tame, make tame,

2. of plants and trees, reclaim, cultivate, “ἡ. ἐξ ἀγρίων” Hp.Aër.12, cf. Thphr.CP2.14.1, 5.15.6; also of land, Crates Com.55.
3. of countries, clear them of robbers and wild beasts, as Hercules and Theseus did, “ναυτιλίαισι πορθμὸν ἁμερώσαις” Pi.I.4(3).57; “χθόνα ἀνήμερον τιθέντες ἡμερωμένην” A.Eu.14; or to cultivate them, Thphr.CP5.15.6,al.
