An Italian seer, whose prophetic verses (Carmina Marciana) were discovered in B.C. 213, and were preserved in the Capitol with the Sibylline Books. Some writers mention only one person of this name, but others speak of two brothers—the Marcii. See Livy, xxv. 12; Symmach. Epist. 4, 34.
