Thomas Stewart, aged ninety-two years, of East-Newton, Ohio, was a private in the One Hundred and First Ohio regiment, and took part in the battle of Perryville, where he was complimented for his bravery and soldierly bearing.
He has four sons, two grandsons, and three sons-in-law at present in the army.
He was born in 1770, at Litchfield, Ct., where his father now resides, aged one hundred and twenty-two years.
