Fire.

--At about twenty minutes before 11 o'clock this morning, a fire broke out at the ship yard of Jas. Cassidy, Esq., in the southern part of the town. It resulted in the destruction of the engine and considerable injury to the machinery connected with the smaller railway. The wind being high, the fire at one time threatened to extend to the residence on the hill above, owned by Mrs. Everett and occupied by Mr. Roberts. At one time the shingle roof, a one-story wing, was on fire, but was extinguished with trifling damage. The loss by the fire will probably be between two and three thousand dollars.--It appears to have been accidental.--Wilmington (N. C.) Journal.
