Life and Portrait of Gen. Jackson.

--A few days before the battle of Chancellorsville Messrs. Avres & Wade, proprietors of the Illustrated News, had an ambrotype of General Jackson taken, the last one taken of the now departed chieftain. A biography of him, with this likeness finely engraved, is, we learn, shortly to be published by these gentlemen in book form. It will be a most popular work.
