We arrived here on Wednesday morning, after the engagement of the 21st at Stone Bridge. The health of the troops generally is good. More of the Farce --The Lincoln Congress has passed a direct taxation bill. The Confederate States are to pay as follows: Virginia, $1,406,326. North Carolina, $864,292; South Carolina, $545,356; Georgia, $876,551; Alabama, $790,820; Mississippi, $819,627; Louisiana, $678,808; Tennessee, $1,006,267; Arkansas, $392,029; Florida, $116,236; Texas, $682,560. The tax collectors will have a hard road to travel, judging from the success of the first batch at Stone Bridge.
