I have one of the handbills calling a Trumbull meeting at Waterloo the other day, which I received there, which, is in the following language: A meeting of the Free Democracy will take place in Waterloo, on Monday, Sept. 13th inst., whereat Hon. Lyman Trumbull, Hon. John Baker and others, will address the people upon the different political topics of the day. Members of all parties arc cordially invited to be present, and hear ann part of this State, and makes war upon the Democratic party throughout the State. When I put that question to them at Waterloo on Saturday last, one of them rose and stated that they had changed their name for political effect in order to get votend he reads from an advertisement that he says was used to notify the people of a speech to be made by Judge Trumbull at Waterloo.
