Pardon to absentees. --Lieut. Gen. Polk has issued a proclamation offering pardon to all soldiers in his department, that are absent from their commands without leave, who will report for duty before the 20th of May next. The pardon does not include those who may have joined the enemy, or commissioned officers. Gen. Polk issued the proclamation in deference of the petition of the Senate and House of Representatives of Mississippi. The offer of pardon is not confined to soldiers from MisGen.
