Falling.
--The waters of James river, which so lately gave premonitory symptoms of a rising tendency, continued to swell gradually through Friday night, and seemed to have reached their culminating point at an early hour Saturday morning, from which time a continuous diminution in the volume has been observable.
Yesterday the "noble James" was complacent in muddy grandeur, and coursed along quietly — no signs of "dire intent" being feared by those who have cause to dread the "rising of the waters."
