--The Memphis Argue says one Charles Ely, a stage driver between Oxford and Pontotoc, Mississippi, was arrested on the 8th inst.
by Mr. D. B. Blair, special agent of the Post-Office Department, upon the charge of robbing the mail.
A mailbag key and a sum of money, identified as having been stolen, were found in his possession when the arrest was made.
Ely has been committed to jail to await an investigation of his case.
