A.stage-machine identified with the ἐκκύκλημα (q. v.) by Hsch. and Poll.4.127, but distd. from it, ib.129: metaph., “τῆς τύχης ἐπὶ τὴν ἐ. ἀναβιβαζούσης τὴν ὑμετέραν ἄγνοιαν” Plb.11.5.8:—also ἔξ-ωστρον , τό, IG11(2).199A95 (pl., Delos, iii B. C.).
