A.revel, carousal, merry-making, “εἰς δαῖτα θάλειαν καὶ χορὸν ἱμερόεντα καὶ ἐς φιλοκυδέα κ.” h.Merc.481, cf. Thgn.829, 940; “πίνειν καὶ κώμῳ χρᾶσθαι” Hdt.1.21, cf.
