A.of or for an “ἰατρός, καρκίνος” IG22.47.16 (iv B.C.): -ικόν (sc. τέλος), τό, tax for maintenance of doctor, SIG437 (Delph., iii B.C.), PSI4.371,388 (iii B.C.); so perh. “τὰ ἰατρικά” PCair.Zen.36.4, 13 (iii B.C.); but -ικόν, τό, Milit., medical corps, Arr.Tact.2.1: ἡ -κή (sc. τέχνη), surgery, medicine, Hdt.2.84, 3.129, Hp.VM1, Pl.Grg.478b, Epicur.Fr.221, etc. Adv. -κῶς in medical terms, “ἐκφέρεσθαι” Phld. Po.5.29, etc.
