A.offering of what is fairest, E.IT23: pl., name of a festival and beauty-contest at Lesbos, Sch.Il.9.129: in pl. also, the fairest prize, “τὰ πρῶτα κ. ἀριστεύσας στρατοῦ” S.Aj.435 (cf. Sch.); τῶν φαλύρων τὰ κ. SIG56.9 (Argos, v B. C.); so in sg., IG 12(9).189.36 (Eretria, iv B. C.), 207.19 (ibid., iii B. C.).
