A.rite by which ghosts were called up and questioned about the future, Plu.2.17b (pl.); “νεκυίᾳ χρήσασθαιHdn. 4.12.4; name for the eleventh Book of the Odyssey, D.S.4.39, Plu. 2.740e.
III. rabble, used contemptuously of Caesar's entourage, Cic.Att.9.18.2, cf. Attic. ap. eund.Att.9.10.7.
IV.. = φλόμος, so called because used in necromancy, Cyran. 30 (written νεκύα).
