περιτροπ-έω , Ion. and Ep. form of περιτρέπω :
I. intr., περιτροπέων ἐνιαυτός a revolving year, Il.2.295.
II. trans., turn from all sides to a centre, round up, drive in, “πολλὰ [μῆλα] περιτροπέοντες ἐλαύνομενOd. 9.465 ; περιτροπέων φῦλ᾽ ἀνθρώπων shepherding them about, h.Merc. 542. -ή, , turning round, revolution, “ἐτέων περιτροπάςSemon.1.8, cf.
