A.= περκνός) become dark, turn dark, of grapes beginning to ripen, “ὀπώρα ἄκραισι περκάζουσα οἰνάνθαις” Chaerem. 12.2 ; “ὅταν ἄρτι π. σταφυλή” Thphr.HP9.11.7, cf. Hymn.Is.168, LXX Am.9.13 ; “ὅταν ἄρχωνται π. οἱ βότρυες” Thphr.CP3.16.3, etc. ; of olives, Gp.9.19.2 ; of flowers, Porph.VP44.
