Plb.5.89.6, Hp.Mul.1.37; π. ὑγρά raw pitch, Dsc.1.72.1, PLond. 3.1171.11; opp. ξηρά, Dsc.1.72.5, PLond.3.929.66, SIG1171.14 (Lebena), cf. παλίμπισσα; ὀρὸς πίσσης, = πίσσανθος, Hp.Ulc.12: prov., μελάντερον ἠΰτε πίσσα Il.l.c.; ἄρτι μῦς πίττης γεύεται, i.e. he has got the first taste of misery, D.50.26, cf.
